The lid needs to be propped open, has the hardware, but not sure why it does not stay open. The wood is aged and has some grazing and some scuffing. The crank handle works as does the fast/slow feature and loud/soft pull out knob. It does play records and sounds good to me. Comes with about 90 records and extra needles. Comes with the original crank and speaker as pictured. Not sure what the light whitish stain is, looks like it can be stained over to look great. Nice mahogany cabinet with blemishes on the top.
